Data provided by the Da Nang Statistics Office shows that in the first eight months of 2022, the number of guests served by local accommodation facilities was estimated at nearly 2.4 million, up 125.7% over the same period last year. In particular, 221,000 of them were foreigners, up 144.9%, whilst the remaining more than 2.14 million were domestic travellers, up 123.9%.

During the 8-month period, the average length of stays for visitors was about 2.5 days. Of this, the average length of stays for international guests was estimated at 2.2 days, and domestic tourists at 2.5 days.

In addition to accommodation and catering services, revenue from travel and tourism support activities still maintained a good growth rate.

In August, revenue from travel services reached VND316 billion, up 2.8% month-on-month. As accumulated, in the 8-month period, the revenue from travel and tourism support activities was estimated at VND1,215 billion, up 483.9% against 2021.

According to tourism experts’ assessment, Da Nang’s tourism industry in the first eight months of 2022 showed signs of gradual recovery, and Da Nang is still an ideal travel destination for business travellers and domestic tourists.
