Da Nang to construct wastewater collection pipeline along extended Tran Hung Dao Street
Da Nang Authority has recently approved the detailed construction planning map of 1:500 scale for the installation of a wastewater collection pipeline along the old extended Tran Hung Dao Street from the Tuyen Son Bridge to the Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant.
This wastewater collection pipeline will feature self-flowing and pressurized wastewater collection systems, pumping stations and flow separation method.
Funded by the city budget, the project will be carried out from 2022-2025.
The Ngu Hanh Son District authorities will coordinate with relevant agencies to list and publicise the approved planning project according to regulations, and with the municipal Department of Construction to manage the approved planning project according to the assigned functions and tasks.
The wastewater collection pipeline will be installed along Chuong Duong and Pham Huu Nhat streets in Khue My and Hoa Hai Wards, Ngu Hanh Son District.
The project will border the Tuyen Son Bridge to the north, the Ngu Hanh Son Cultural and Historical Park to the south, the 220kV power transmission line and residential areas on Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Tran Van Dan and Tho Son 1 streets to the east, and the Han and Co Co rivers to the west.
Covering an area of nearly 122,700 m2, the project aims to build a sewer pipe to collect wastewater from 10 outlets before being discharged to the Han and Co Co rivers, along with from 2 outlets at the reservoir of the K20 historical relic site.
At the outlets, a combined sewer overflow (CSO) diversion structures will be constructed to collect wastewater in the dry season and at the same time prevent river water from entering the collection system during high tides.
Specifically, basin 1 from the Tuyen Son Bridge to Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant has 2 zones with sub-basin 1 from the Tuyen Son Bridge to Xuan Quynh Street and sub-basin 2 from the Xuan Quynh Street to the Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Accordingly, a 1,540m-long sewer pipeline to collect wastewater from 6 discharge outlets to the rivers will be constructed in the sub-basin 1.
The sub-basin 2 will feature two self-flowing sewer lines with a total length of nearly 800m to collect wastewater from 5 discharge outlets to rivers and reservoir K20, a wastewater pumping station PS-NHS-20 at the intersection of Chuong Duong and Xuan Quynh streets with have a capacity of nearly 21,000 m3/day and night, and 2 pressure pipe lines with total length of about 1,260m.
The basin 2 from the Ngu Hanh Son Cultural and Historical Park to the Ngu Hanh Son Wastewater Treatment Plant will include the construction of a wastewater pumping station PS-NHS-03 at the intersection of Pham Huu Nhat and Hai Trieu streets with a capacity of around 11,000 m3/day and night, a 1,100m-long pressure pipeline from the PS-NHS-03 pumping station to the Ngu Hanh Son wastewater treatment plant.
