Infrastructure makeover promised for Lien Chieu
The Da Nang government has issued a plan to implement the resolution on the development of Lien Chieu District by 2030 and the subsequent years in a bid to develop the district into a civilised and modern urban area, thus creating a highlight in terms of tourism, services, commerce, finance and tourism and marine economy.

In an attempt to boost infrastructure, traffic routes connecting the district with neighbouring areas, along with commercial centres, a horse racetrack and sports centres will be developed.
Along with that, the authorities need to accelerate the implementation of key projects such as the Lien Chieu mega-port, the Lang Van tourist resort and entertainment complex, the dredging of Cu De river for tourism development, the building of a specialised agricultural and food product market, 3 new retail markets and the upgrade of Hoa Khanh market into a tourist attraction.
With regard to industrial production, heed will be paid to converting Hoa Khanh and the expanded Hoa Khanh industrial parks (IPs) into ecological ones, transforming Lien Chieu IP into an industrial and logistic service one with advanced and modern technology, building Hoa Khanh Nam industrial cluster for production facilities that are now relocated in residential areas.
As for tourism development, upgrading the district’s central square, effectively tap the potential of Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal route and upgrading souvenir shops surrounding Hai Van Gate on the namesake road pass will also be other important tasks .
