Trade promotion support programmes
Till date, Da Nang has 17 products certified as 4-star OCOP ones, and 23 as 3-star OCOP ones.
Over the past time, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade has developed a number of trade promotion activities in order to support the consumption of OCOP products, and typical rural industrial and commercial products.
In 2022, 10 supply-demand connection conferences were organised across the city.
Along with that, many programmes introducing Da Nang products to consumers were held in the city. Included are the ‘Promoting Da Nang’s OCOP and featured products’ programme at a public park at the eastern side of the Dragon Bridge during April 30 and May 1 holiday; the OCOP product exhibition within the framework of the Routes Asia 2022 on June 4-9; the Vietnamese Goods Fair with 150 booths, including 27 ones featuring OCOP products; and the ‘OCOP - Development and Integration of Viet Nam's products’ Week from November 10 - 13 at the MM Mega Market Da Nang.
Besides trade promotion activities in the city, the Department organised 8 business delegations with more than 50 turns of enterprises and cooperatives with OCOP products participating in fairs and supply and demand connection conferences in Ha Noi, Binh Dinh, Quang Nam, Gia Lai, Hue, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan and Ho Chi Minh City. Also, 20 turns of OCOP enterprises in Da Nang took part in overseas trade activities such as an exhibition in Sekong Province, Laos, and a trade connection conference between Da Nang and the south central provinces of Laos.
Thanks to this, OCOP businesses have initially expanded their markets and won trust of consumers.
Through connection programmes, 29 out of the 40 OCOP products have been put into distribution channels at stores, mini supermarkets, specialty supermarkets, and wet markets. 12 groups of OCOP products, produced by 9 city-based enterprises, have hit shelves at five large supermarkets and trade centers in the locality.

Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade Le Thi Kim Phuong revealed that, in the coming time, the local industry and trade sector will continue to effectively promote locally-made products to customers in Da Nang and other localities nationwide during the 2022-2025 period.
The focus will be on issuing more policies, programmes and schemes to support production facilities to improve product quality, build brands, trace product origin, participate in booths on e-commerce trading floors, and expand consumption markets.
Additionally, training courses on corporate governance, food safety, market development, and the application of e-commerce in production and business activities will be organised.
Furthermore, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with trade centers and supermarkets in the locality to deploy many trade activities, fairs and exhibitions to promote the introduction and consumption of OCOP, and typical rural industrial and agricultural products, which are made in Da Nang and other provinces and cities, to modern retail systems.
