On behalf of SECO, Ms. Franziska Sporri, Head Macroeconomic Support Division and representative of units of SECO, highly lauded the visit made by delegation of Da Nang which contributed to deepening the bilateral relationship between Viet Nam and Switzerland.

She remarked that Viet Nam was SECO's top priority in supporting economic development and the central coastal city of Da Nang was one of two cities in Viet Nam where SECO was working.

For his part, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh thanked SECO for choosing his city as the first locality to support the development of public financial reform. He took the opportunity to ask SECO to support Da Nang in terms of resources and experts in order to the development of urban governance and Fintech, and the adaptation to natural disasters.

During the meeting with SECO, Director of the municipal Department of Finance Nguyen Van Phung discussed the situation of coordination in organising activities in the Financial Management Reform Technical Assistance Programme launched in June 2022. The programme saw the participation of Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Country Director of the World Bank and leaders of SECO.

Besides, Mr. Vu Quang Hung, Head of the Authority of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks provided more information about the operation of industrial parks and innovation activities in the city.

On the basis of Da Nang's suggestions, SECO representatives were committed to maintaining the connection and continuing to support Da Nang in the near future.

Currently, SECO is cooperating with the Asian Development Bank to implement some Fintech development projects in Viet Nam, so SECO wishes to invite Da Nang, and local businesses, to participate in such projects.
