Cooperation activities under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs and the Ho Chi Minh City Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Affairs on November 4, 2021 have achieved certain results.

Specifically, the two sides successfully co-organised a propaganda conference about the Politburo-issued Conclusion No 120-KL/TW on overseas Vietnamese (OV) affairs in Da Nang during the 2022 - 2026 period.

Also, a seminar took place in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in 2022 with a mission of introducing Da Nang’s investment environment towards OVs. It attracted 100 OVs who were businesspeople, intellectuals, and leaders of associations and unions at home and abroad.

Through the event, Da Nang had the opportunity to share a lot of information about its investment environment, policies and aspects calling for investment flows to businessmen and the leaders of business associations, overseas intellectuals in other countries.

In the coming time, the two sides will continue to promote communication work with OVs; organise workshops to collect opinions from OVs on areas of interest to the city; and hold summer camp for OV youth.

At the same time, they will work with delegations of OVs to conduct surveys about local investment environment and carry out humanitarian aid activities in Da Nang; as well as promote communication work about tangible and intangible cultural heritage and festivals in the locality.
