The statement was made by municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh at the programme on supporting and guiding procedures for FDI enterprises held in the city on Tuesday.

Co-organised by the Business Support Center, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Investment Promotion and Support Agency, the event was attached by representatives from more than 250 FDI enterprises based in the city.

According to Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, till date, the city has attracted 1,016 FDI projects totalling over US$4.2 billion mainly focusing on the fields of services, trade, manufacturing equipment, machinery, components, garments, construction materials, information technology, restaurants, legal consulting and investment.

FDI enterprises have been making important contributions to the city's socio-economic development, especially in the fields of manufacturing, exporting goods and creating jobs for workers, thereby contributing to supporting local businesses to participate in the global value chain and promote economic restructuring towards modern industry.

Despite current economic conditions, local businesses are trying to maintain their growth goals.
