On Monday morning (the tenth day of the first lunar month), gold and jewellery shops across Da Nang were packed with early morning customers looking for luck and fortune on the God of Wealth Day.

Many people believe that buying a piece of gold on the God of Wealth Day which falls on the 10^th day of the first lunar month will bring good fortune and prosperity to their business and family through the year, and so the number of buyers usually skyrockets.

As recorded, a large number of people lined up early at many large gold shops on Hung Vuong, Ong Ich Khiem, Dong Da, Nguyen Van Linh and Au Co streets to buy gold.

This year, gold items are in new, beautiful designs. In particular, the value of items crafted for the God of Wealth day is not too different from gold rings or gold bars, so they are popular with customers.

In addition, round-shaped gold rings of 0.5 - 1 tael were still of interest to many people, followed by other types of gold jewelry.

At 9:00am on February 19, the DOJI Gold, Silver and Gemstone Group listed its buying price of DOJI gold at VND75.75 million per tael and the selling price at VND78.35 million per tael.

The Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) bought SJC gold at VND75.8 million per tael, and sold at VND78.4 million per tael.

Kim Bao gold, 9999 Phuc Loc Tai gold were listed at the buying price of VND63.35 million/tael and the selling price of VND64.5 million/tael.

At small and medium-sized private gold shops citywide, 9999 gold was bought at VND63 million/tael and sold at VND64.4 million/tael.

Mrs. Le Thi Kim Yen, Store Manager of the Phu Nhuan Jewelry Store (PNJ) at 70 Tran Phu Street, said that her store received a large number of shoppers on Monday morning.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Anh, Director of the Kim Khanh Viet Hung Co., Ltd. based in Lien Chieu District said that a large number of customers has visited and bought gold since February 14 - Valentine's Day.

To prepare for the God of Wealth day, gold and jewelry shops already prepared many new products such as gold pieces inscribed with word carrying special meaning on each piece, lucky charm bracelets, and dragon figurines.
