Many new tourism products added to summer vibes in Da Nang

Along with the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024, this year the city has nearly 40 additional supporting activities to serve the needs of both residents and tourists. Among them, there are many products launched in Da Nang for the first time, promising to bring a vibrant summer.

Unique water sports performance

For the time being, jetski and flyboard performers are present in Da Nang and practice in the Asia Park in preparations for their performances at the opening night of DIFF 2024 and at the Asia Park. This is a new water sports product that is highly anticipated by the city dwellers and tourists this summer.

Ms. Kristine Isaeva participating in jetski and flyboard performances said she felt very happy to stay in Da Nang to prepare for water sports and art performances in Da Nang and at the opening night of DIFF 2024. She hopes that the audience will fully enjoy relaxing moments and that this will become one of the largest water sports shows in the city.

Sharing the same opinion, another performer, Mr. Juan from Mexico, said: “The flyboard is a quite new and unique performance in Da Nang. In addition to attractive new performances, we will have an informal interaction with the audience, bringing unprecedented experience to Da Nang audiences. The iconic Han River is a perfect location to organise flyboard performances because there is a spacious and airy space so performers and audiences can fully enjoy the performance. This is also one of the most beautiful spaces I have ever performed in my career."

Along with water sports performances, one of the highlights of this summer is that Asia Park officially changes its name to Da Nang Downtown in June 2024, with the orientation of becoming the most attractive shopping, entertainment centre in the Han River.

Accordingly, the entire brand identity including logo, signboard and brand name will be changed to Da Nang Downtown with many additional fun, experiential and shopping activities in the evening.

As revealed by Director of Da Nang Downtown Phung Pham Thanh Thuy, with a new brand identity and the addition of new unique products, Da Nang Downtown will take visitors by surprise and have a memorable summer vacation in Da Nang.

In particular, the evening performance programme here will contribute to helping Da Nang's night-time tourism increase its appeal and create an impression on tourists, turning Da Nang into a sleepless destination.

Diverse entertainment activities day and night

Along with available services such as the Sun Wheel and 18 thrilling games, this summer, the Da Nang Downtown shows off many new performances, many of which are the first of its kind in Da Nang to serve tourists.

Notable among them is the art performance programme ‘Symphony of River’, this is a jetski and flyboard adventure sports art show combined with music, lights, skillful dances on the water and fireworks in the sky scheduled to be launched on June 10.

Also, visitors are expected to enjoy the Vietnamese Puppet Show slated to make its debut on June 1 at the Da Nang's Au O Theater with a capacity of 600 seats with performances from two disciplines: land and water puppetry. Circus and magic performances by the world's leading artists will be organised, too.

In addition to the above-mentioned activities, at Da Nang Downtown there is the VUI-Fest Da Nang night market. This is the new centre of night-time entertainment tourism in the coastal city.

The night market provides a vibrant shopping, culinary, and entertainment spaces for domestic and foreign tourists, with 200 colorful Asian and European food stalls, regional dried specialties, souvenir and handicrafts, along with fun street activities.

The Da Nang Downtown will open a new gate on at September 2 Street (the March 29 Square) and offer free admission for all visitors, promising to be a new entertainment spot for both locals and tourists, especially the young during the ongoing summer.

In addition to new products at the Da Nang Downtown, on this occasion, in order to meet the needs of residents and tourists in the summer as well as those coming to watch fireworks, many projects are nearing completion in a prompt fashion.

In Hai Chau District, the Bach Dang Walking Street will have clusters of mobile sales kiosks. There are 5 check-in points with unique models; community living space; green trees, stone benches and artistic lighting decorations. Currently, construction units are rushing to complete the remaining items to put them into operation on schedule.

Meanwhile, Son Tra District has issued a plan to organise activities to launch night-time tourism services on Nguyen Van Troi pedestrian bridge and a park near the eastern end of  the bridge.

According to Vice Chairman of Son Tra District People's Committee Huynh Van Hung, with the desire to introduce nightlife services to a large number of local people and tourists, the district’s administration plans to launch nightlife tourism services on this bridge and the nearby park.

It is expected that from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on May 31, along a section of Tran Hung Dao Street from the foot of Tran Thi Ly Bridge to Bui Thi Xuan Street. There will be 3 main activities ‘ao dai’ (national Vietnamese costume) and fashion shows on Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, along with interesting street dance and an art performance under the theme ‘ Son Tra - Musical rendezvous’.
