The Synopsys Vietnam company opened its new office in Da Nang on Thursday morning.

Speaking at the grand opening of the new office, Standing Vice Chairman of municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh congratulated the Synopsys Company and emphasised that the new office will mark a new development step of the company in Da Nang, thereby paying the way for the development of semiconductor industry in the central coastal city.

According to the city leader, the Synopsys Company has recently affirmed its important position in the global semiconductor supply chain. As an S&P 500 company, Synopsys has a long history of being a global leader in electronic design automation (EDA) and semiconductor IP and offers the industry’s broadest portfolio of application security testing tools and services.

Synopsys has nearly 20,000 employees worldwide. It earned more than US$5.84 billion in revenue in 2023.

With nearly 300 employees working in Da Nang and a goal of 400 employees in the next 2 years, Synopsys has been creating many high-quality job opportunities, attracting talents and improving professional qualifications for semiconductor engineers and IC designers in the city.

The presence and development of Synopsys in Da Nang makes an important contribution to the construction and development of the city's semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem today and in the future.

Vice Chairman Minh affirmed that Da Nang was committed to continuing to creating all favourable conditions in terms of infrastructure, supporting policies and high-quality human resource training for the company and other businesses involving semiconductor and AI to develop sustainably in the locality.

The city leader also called on investors at both home and abroad to visit Da Nang to seek investment and cooperation opportunities in semiconductors and other fields.

The new 2,800 m² office of Synopsys Vietnam in Da Nang is located on the 3^rd floor of the F-Home Building, 16 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hai Chau District, offering about 280 jobs.

The company's new office and the previous office on the 2^nd floor of the F-Home building contribute to expanding the company's working area to more than 400 workplaces.
