T1 domestic terminal at Da Nang International Airport targets to receive four-star rating in 2025
Da Nang International Airport held a conference on Friday to review its performance in 2024 and to deploy key projects in 2025.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Phan Kieu Hung, Director of Da Nang International Airport, said that in 2024 the unit invested in upgrading the intra-port traffic system, infrastructure, equipment, and services in order to realise the goal of the airport’s domestic terminal to receive a four-star rating from SkyTrax in 2025.
In particular, more than VND 200 billion was spent on implementing 19 projects, including the construction of the northern infrastructure land; the repair of the intra-port traffic street from Nguyen Van Linh toll station to gate number 2; the deployment of the electronic toll collection (ETC) system; the expansion of the business class lounge and the lounge at the domestic terminal; and the installation of more check-in points.
In 2024, the T2 international terminal at Da Nang International Airport became the first and the only terminal in Viet Nam to be certified as a 5-star airport by international airport rating agency Skytrax.
Additionally, Da Nang International Airport was included in the "Top 100 best airports in the world" and "Top 10 most improved airports in the world" for the first time. It was also listed among the top-five airports with capacity of hosting from five to 20 million passengers per year.
In 2024, Da Nang International Airport is estimated to achieve a total of VND 1,615 billion in revenue, and contribute more than VND 110 billion to the city budget. At the same time, it spent over VND 3.2 billion on social welfare activities.
In 2025, Da Nang International Airport will start construction of a cargo terminal on an expected land area of 28,745.9m2 with a total investment of VND 350 billion; and develop infrastructure for the remaining land area on the northern side.
In particular, the T1 domestic terminal expansion project will be carried out according to the approved planning with the capacity of 10 million passengers per year.
