11 trains added to serve Tet travel demand
The Viet Nam Railways Corporation announced on Thursday that to meet the increasing travel demands of people during the forthcoming Tet holiday, the railway industry added 11 trains, providing an additional 5,000 seats on the routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Quang Ngai and Ha Noi and vice versa.

Accordingly, on the HCMC-Ha Noi route, there will be additional trains SE12 on January 17 and 18, 2025; TN6 on January 18 and 19, 2025; and SE24 on January 17, 2025.
From Ha Noi to HCMC, there will be additional trains SE11 on January 18 and 19, 2025; TN5 on January 20 and 21, 2025; and SE23 on February 15, 2025. Passenger train SE26 will run from HCMC to Quang Ngai on January 19, 2025.
At the same time, the railway industry will open ticket sales for trains NA1/NA2 operating on the Ha Noi - Vinh route from January 1 to February 16, 2025; and for trains SP3/SP4 and SP7/SP8 running on the Ha Noi - Lao Cai route from January 1 to February 28, 2025.
Tickets are now available at websites https://dsvn.vn/, https://vetau.com.vn/, http://vetauonline.vn/ as well as through e-wallets, train ticket sales apps on mobile devices or directly at railway stations, ticket sales points, agents of Viet Nam Railways; and ticket sales hotlines 19000109 (Ha Noi Railway Station) or 19001520 (Saigon Railway Station).
Since the 2025 Tet train tickets went on sale in early October, a total of over 137,000 tickets have been sold, reaching 28% in terms of passenger output, equal to 45% of revenue compared to Tet 2024. The number of tickets purchased online alone accounts for 58%.
