Early implementation of resolutions in semiconductor and AI
Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh had a meeting on Monday with departments, agencies and sectors on implementing policies according to the National Assembly-issued Resolution No. 136 and Resolutions Nos. 57, 58 and 59 of the municipal People's Council related to the development of the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) industries in the city.

Vice Chairman Minh requested relevant units to review and advise on supplementing specific policies in the abovementioned fields that have not yet been stipulated in Resolution No. 136 and 3 resolutions of the municipal People's Council, as well as support premises for startup projects in the Da Nang Software Park No. 2.
Local departments, agencies and sectors were asked to coordinate and have specific plans for support, and connecting supply and demand between businesses, investors and training facilities.
Importance should be attached to connecting large enterprises and corporations with small and medium-sized enterprises and startups to enhance the semiconductor and AI ecosystem in the city, the city leader added.

He also requested relevant units to continue to promote the construction progress of ICT2 and ICT3 buildings, and complete other infrastructure of the Da Nang Software Park No. 2.
In 2025, the city will continue to collaborate with enterprises and training facilities at both home and abroad to implement many training programmes for lecturers and students.
Regarding infrastructure, the city will invest in and put into use 3 research rooms (labs) for training in the Da Nang Software Park No. 2; complete the phase 2 of the Software Park No. 2 project; and call for investment in building infrastructure to support research projects in the fields of semiconductor and AI.
