UK Ambassador to Viet Nam to cycle for newborns

On 28 November the UK Ambassador to Viet Nam, Mr Giles Lever, will take part in the final stage of the Cycle a Difference Vietnam Challenge Ride from Thua Thien-Hue Province to Da Nang.

Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung, Director of the municipal Department of Health Ngo Thi Kim Yen, and 30 British cyclists will also participate in the race.

They will conquer the Hai Van Pass, which is 496m above sea level and is at the geographical boundary between Da Nang and Thua Thien-Hue Province.  The race route in Da Nang will be Nguyen Luong Bang-Nguyen Tat Thanh-Thuan Phuoc Bridge-Yet Kieu-Ngo Quyen-Le Van Hien to the finish at the Paediatrics and Maternity Hospital.

The 10-day Cycle a Difference Viet Nam Challenge Ride is the challenge of a lifetime cycling adventure from the country’s northwest to the central region.  Its purpose is to raise funds for Newborns Vietnam which is a British charity organisation based in Da Nang.
