DRT wins 2 silver medals at 35th National Television Festival
Da Nang Radio and Television (DRT) won 2 silver medals at the 35th National Television Festival which took place in Quang Binh Province from 16 - 19 December.
The local medal-winning works were the ‘Hearing an Echo from a Trong Chau (a Vietnamese traditional drum)’ documentary film made by Outstanding Artist Huynh Hung, Hoang Nam and Le Minh, and the ‘Winning the Trust and Respect of Local Residents’ TV report by Dang Quoc Phon and Dang Huynh Thoai Nguyen.
Through the documentary film, TV viewers were told about Tuong (classical drama) artistes in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. Like artists involved in other traditional Vietnamese stage arts, they live in difficult circumstances. They do many different jobs, including singing at funeral ceremonies, to earn money to cover their daily expenses.
