A wide range of sporting and cultural events will take place across Da Nang to welcome in Christmas and New Year 2016.

A musical performance entitled ‘Time to Rock’ will be held near the intersection of Quang Trung and Bach Dang at 7.00pm on 23 December.

Audiences will be treated to fascinating musical and circus performances every night at the 29 March Park during a 6-day Vietnamese goods fair from 24 - 29 December at the same venue.

Local cinema-goers can enjoy various exciting films at the Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu Street, between 24 December 2015 and 1 January 2016. 

At 7.00pm on 26 December, there will be a fascinating musical performance, entitled ‘The Colours of Spring’, at the Trung Vuong Theatre, 86 Hung Vuong.

A classical guitar concert to welcome in 2016, entitled 'Da Nang Guitar Concert-Welcoming in New Year 2016', will take place at 8.00pm on 29 December at the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre, 155 Phan Chau Trinh Street.

Numerous cultural and sporting activities will also be organised at the Bien Dong (East Sea) Park in Son Tra District between 29 December and 2 January 2016 to welcome in the New Year.  On New Year's Eve, 31 December, a spectacular fireworks display will be set off at midnight on the beach near the East Sea Park.

A New Year Countdown Party 2016, entitled ‘Let's Create Memorable Moments Together’ will be held on 31 December at 29 March Square on 2 September Street. The event will start at 9.00pm and end at 0.30am.

The Tiger Remix music festival 2016 will take place in front of the Trung Vuong Theatre on 2 January from 7.00pm – 10.00pm.  Local residents will have the opportunity to enjoy popular songs in a new mix of styles, combining Vietnamese and Western musical instruments with visual effects.
