Red-shanked douc langurs found in Ba Na-Nui Chua Special Use Forest

According to Mr Phan The Dung, Director of the Management Board of the Ba Na-Nui Chua Special Use Forest, many red-shanked douc langurs have been found in the forest.

Between May and December 2016, the Management Board and the Nuoc Viet Xanh (Green Viet Nam) Biodiversity Conservation Centre together conducted scientific research into biodiversity conservation in the Ba Na-Nui Chua Special Use Forest.  As a result, 2,135 photos of different animal species were taken.  Of these, up to 65 were of red-shanked douc langurs living in the Song Bac and Song Nam areas.

The forest is now home to 627 species of animals including 214 birds, 78 fish species, 38 amphibians, 81 reptiles and 139 invertebrates.
