Since the start of this year, a total of over 60 traditional Vietnamese arts shows have been organised across the city by the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre. In addition, on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7.30pm, the 210-seat theatre presents its special musical show entitled ‘The Countryside Picture’ to fascinate domestic and foreign visitors.
Then there are the musical performances at the Trung Vuong Theatre which have won warm applause from their audience thanks to the venue’s modern sound and lighting systems, as well as the careful preparations for each show.
This theatre held the large event ‘Dieu Uoc Cho Tinh Yeu’ (The Wish for Love) on 8 March which included performances by many famous domestic singers. This event has helped to bring great success to the theatre.
Currently, the Trung Vuong Theatre is continuing its efforts to increase its audience numbers by introducing their ‘Tinh Ca Xanh’ (Endless Love Songs) musical shows twice a month. Tickets for the shows will be offered at reasonable prices, and shows will be broadcast live on local television channels. The first show is scheduled to be held later this month, and it will feature such well-known domestic singers as Trong Tan, Lan Anh, Tan Minh and Quang Linh.
The theatre’s Director Quang Hao remarked, “I am appealing for public investment to organise such musical shows, and I hope our arts programmes will receive the enthusiastic support of local musical lovers”.
