Indian artistes perform in the city
An exciting arts performance by dancers from the Indian Classical Dance Troupe took place at Da Nang’s Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre last night.

The event had been jointly organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Indian Embassy in Viet Nam, and the Da Nang People’s Committee. It aimed to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership, between India and Viet Nam.
During the show, the audience was treated to 4 interesting classical Indian dance styles namely Kuchipudi, Odissi, Bharatnatyam, and Kathak. These were performed by dancers Padmashri Guru Jayarama Rao, T Reddi Lakshmi, Lipsa Satpathy, Shivalika Kataria and Tanya Saxena.
Present at the event were the Ambassador of India to Viet Nam, Mr Parvathaneni Harish, and the municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman cum Head of the Department of Publicity and Training, Mr Dang Viet Dung.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Dung thanked the Indian Ambassador and dancers for introducing their traditional culture to locals. The city leader hoped that more cultural exchange programmes would be organised in Da Nang in the near future to deepen the bilateral friendly and cooperative relationships with Indian localities.
