Japanese and Swiss teams ready to thrill spectators tonight

Tonight (20 May), the teams from Japan and Switzerland will produce their amazing fireworks performances on the 2nd night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2017.

At 8.35pm, the 2nd night of the festival will begin with a display by team Japan, and Team Switzerland  will follow.

The theme for this evening is ‘Earth’. The two teams have focused hard on readying their fireworks at the launching location at the former Han River Port.

This is the second time that Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks Co Ltd from Japan has participated in this competition, and this team

A total of over 4,000 high, medium and low-level fireworks will be used by the Japanese team.

The Head of the team, Mr Josh Kabasawa, said confidently that his team will show off their very special performance style, with a focus on boasting modern firing techniques, and especially conveying their meaningful messages to the spectators, rather than just aiming at increasing the number of fireworks.

The Japanese competitors happily said that they would like the spectators to learn more about their deep sentiments and the traditional Japanese cultural values, thereby helping to strengthen the bilateral friendship between the 2 countries.

The Head of Team Switzerland, Mr Nicolas Guinand, remarked that his team had already completed all the preparations for pyrotechnic technologies and choreography for their upcoming display at their hometown.

He also revealed that his team, Sugyp Sa, will produce a fascinating display using the latest fireworks, a very modern fireworks launching platform and a relatively fast shutter speed.

The Swiss contestants hoped that the audience would join them on a journey to conquer the Marble Mountains whilst they are treated with a display featuring impressive lighting effects, colourful fireworks, and melodious accompanying music.
