The event’s organising committee made the announcement to Viet Nam News yesterday, stating that riders from clubs in 10 provinces and cities nationwide will compete over a tough 500m course located near 2 September Street.

Competitors will race on a zigzag track for 9 laps in 4 categories of Yamaha bikes including Sirius, Exciter, Cygnus and 150cc sport bike.

The Viet Nam Cycling and Motor Federation said the participants will compete in 2 divisions for amateur and professional racers, running from 8.00am till 4.00pm on Sunday.

It’s the second time that the race has been held in Viet Nam for domestic motorbike riders and athletes.
The 1st Yamaha Grand Prix was held in Binh Duong Province last year with men’s and women’s rides competing in 9 categories divided into 3 divisions for 115cc-, 125cc- and 150cc-engines for both professionals and amateurs.

The city also hosted the 1st Viet Nam Motor Club Prix with the participation of 50 professionals and amateurs competing in 2 two categories of 125cc motorcycles with 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines in 2012.

In February, Italian motorcycle racing icon Valentino Rossi paid a visit to Viet Nam during the Y-rider 2017 in HCM City.
