Da Nang to celebrate 22 years of recognising centrally-governed city and ring in Lunar New Year with stunning fireworks displays
Following recent approval by the Da Nang authorities, the city’s skyline will be lit up with spectacular fireworks displays to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of Da Nang’s recognition as a centrally-governed city on 1 January 1997, and to ring in the Lunar New Year.

In detail, a stunning fireworks display will be set off on 1 January 2019 at 9.00pm at Nguyen Van Troi Bridge.
The 15-minute-long fireworks show will be part of the series of activities organised to mark 22 years since the city’s recognition as a centrally-governed city on 1 January 1997.
Meanwhile, another 3 magnificent fireworks displays to ring in the Lunar New Year will take place on Lunar New Year’s Eve which will fall on 5 February 2019.
The 15-minute-long fireworks shows will be at Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, a vacant land area in front of the Lien Chieu District Administration Centre, and a vacant land area in front of the Hoa Vang District Administration Centre.
All the costs of the shows will be covered by public donations.
