Da Nang team ranked 3rd in national swimming competition
The 25m-pool swimming competition of the 2019 National Swimming and Diving Championships is taking place at Thua Thien-Hue Province’s Underwater Sports Centre between 23 and 27 March.

After the first 3 days of the competition, the Da Nang team finished third with a total of 4 gold and 2 silver medals.
During the competition, swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc gave impressive performances as he bagged 3 well-deserved gold medals in the men’s 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly individual events.
The ‘extraordinary man of the Han River’ took a silver medal in the men’s 200m freestyle event.
In addition, Phuoc and the other members of the city’s male relay team claimed the gold and the silver in the 4 x 100m and 4 x 200m freestyle relay races respectively.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City’s team lies in 1st place with 8 gold medals, 5 silver and 2 bronze, whilst Quang Binh team is 2nd with 5 gold medals, 3 silver and 1 bronze.
