Hai Chau Book Fair opens until 21 April
The Hai Chau Book Fair 2019 entitled ‘Books- Culture and Development’ is taking place at the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, opposite the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculptures, until Sunday, 21 April.
The event, the 5th of its kind held in the city, has been jointly organised by the Hai Chau District People’s Committee, and Ho Chi Minh City-based Book Distribution Joint Stock Company (FAHASA).
The 6-day event features a total of nearly 200 stalls introducing and selling new books released by 57 domestic and foreign publishing houses, plus 20 book publishers and stationery stores from the UK, the USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, and Singapore.
During the fair, 50,000 books with more than 10 million copies are now available for sale.
Visitors to the fair have the opportunity to enjoy a discount of between 10% and 50% on displayed books.
Highlights of this year’s event are fascinating exchange activities between local readers and such famous domestic writers as Nguyen Nhat Anh, Anh Khang, and Hamlet Truong.
Also, numerous meaningful talk shows, and exciting arts performances are scheduled to be held during the fair.
