This year's festive season promises more exciting
Over recent years, the Da Nang Beach Tourism Season and Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous programmes have become very inviting to domestic and foreign visitors when summer arrives.

In an attempt to make visitors feel more excited as they return to the city, the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Tourism Beaches have made every effort to develop programmes which will be bigger and more attractive than the previous events.
According to the Management Board, the Da Nang Beach Tourism Season 2019 will take place at the East Sea Park, and along beaches, from 26 April to 1 May.
The 6-day festival will feature a wide range of fascinating cultural and sporting activities.
In particular, starting from 26 April, visitors can visit the photo shooting location at the My Khe Beach which is decorated with 100 lanterns and 500 pinwheels, and a display area for maritime species along the East Sea Park.
Some fascinating activities will also be held, including exploring the night sky through telescopes at the Park, nightly musical performances at the BNF outdoor stage, and a chess competition at the Ban Co (Chess Board) Peak.
On 27 April, visitors can experience many free sports activities such as PT Boot Camp, dancing wii game, and Partner booth at the park.
A Muay Thai competition will take place at the park in the evening of 27 April.
A 250m swimming competition will be organised at the Pham Van Dong Beach in the morning of 30 April.
Most specially, there will be a lot of activities with the aim of raising public awareness of maritime environmental protection such as a bike parade themed ‘Protecting Da Nang's marine environment - No plastic bags - No smoking’, and an exhibition displaying products made from plastic waste on seabed.
The 2019 Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous programme will take place at the East Sea Park, beaches, the Son Tra Peninsula, and along both banks of the Han River from 15 - 19 June.
Accordingly, calligraphy, portrait drawing, and bamboo dancing will be held at the East Sea Park and the Whale Temple, and on Vo Nguyen Giap Street from 16 - 19 June at between 8.00pm and 9.00pm daily.
Numerous traditional folk games will take place during the Xuan Thieu Nights programme on the Lien Chieu bathing area in the evenings of 18 and 19 June.
An exhibition displaying products made from recycled materials will take place between 15 and 19 June at the East Sea Park. The intention is to raise public awareness about environmental protection.
A total of 30 souvenir, eating, and drinking stands will be set up to serve locals and visitors.
In addition, a Da Thanh cooking competition, and a class to introduce visitors to how to make typical cakes in the central regional localities, will take place at the park on 17 June from 4.00pm - 6.30pm.
The Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, Mr Phan Minh Hai, said the city’s two programmes are expected to draw a great deal of attention from over 2 million visitors and locals.
“In addition to the programmes, numerous fascinating events will take place in the city during the summer season. Included are the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019, the VNG IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam triathlon, and the Da Nang International Balloon Festival 2019 at the Hoa Trung Lake”, he noted.
