The 2021 Da Nang Basketball Tournament for Youth Clubs officially kicked off at the Tien Son Sports Arena today, December 23.

The event sees the participation of 10 basketball clubs across the city. The participating teams are divided into 3 groups: Group A consisting of Gecko Dunk, Thanh Khe and Su3 Hustle teams; Group B with Cam Le, Su3 Hoa Binh and Son Tra; and Group C comprising Hoa Vang, Lien Chieu, NSA, and University of Da Nang.

Under the competition’s rule, participating teams compete in a round-robin format. Accordingly, the first teams of Groups A and B, along with the first and second in the group C will go through the semifinals of the tournament.

The two semi-final losers will compete in the third-place play-off match, whilst the remaining two teams will advance to the final round which is slated to take place on December 27.

COVID-19 safety precautions must be put in place during the tournament as all contestants are required to comply with the 5K recommendations and use QR codes for medical declaration.
