Vietnamese swimmer sets new national record

Vietnamese swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang set a new national record at the ongoing FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) 2021 in Abu Dhabi (UAE) after finishing the men's 1,500m freestyle event in 14mins 41.00secs, breaking his own previous record of 14mins 44.53secs.
Hoang’s excellent achievement gives him a lot of hope for SEA Games 31 and ASIAD 19 which both are set to take place next year.
Young Vietnamese swimmer from Quang Binh Province bagged a gold medal and broke the SEA Games record in the men’s 1,500m freestyle of himself with a time of 14mins 58.14secs at the SEA Games 30 in the Philippines. He also won a silver medal at the same event at the Asian Games (ASIAD) 2018.
