GMP – VNCC's design wins first prize at contest seeking architectural ideas for Viettel Da Nang building

The Viet Nam Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) announced the results of a contest to seek the best architectural ideas for the construction of the Viettel Da Nang building,

The first prize went to a design jointly developed by the GMP International GMBH and the Viet Nam National Construction Consultants Corporation (VNCC).

The winning design highlights two building blocks with strong, unique and highly symbolic shapes. The highlight of this design is "big windows" on all sides of the building blocks, with different heights, good handling of the image expressing the investor's philosophy: ‘windows overlooking the world and bringing the world into the house’.

The second prize belonged to a design jointly by the Nikken Sekkei Ltd and Viet Nam Investment Consulting and Construction Designing Joint Stock Company (CDC)

The third prize went to a design jointly made by the Da Nang Institute of Urban Construction Planning and the Raymond Viet Nam Architect Design One Member Co., Ltd).

The ‘Viettel Da Nang Building’ project will cover an area of 10,765m2 on the A1-1 land lot on the northern side of the 2 September Peace Monument in Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District. The project is expected to consist of two office and commercial service towers.

Viettel proposed to implement the project with the function of a software and high-tech centre combined with a commercial services with 30 stories at a total construction investment capital of VND2,000 billion .

The project is expected to consist of two office and commercial service towers. Specifically, the tower A will be the headquarters and working offices for Viettel and its affiliated units. Meanwhile, tower B is expected to be deployed in the future.
