According to the Museum of Da Nang, the Van Duong village communal house was first built during the reign of Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu (1725 - 1738).

The house features architecture and decoration style imbued with Vietnamese village culture with images of Four Sacred Animals.

This site witnessed many important historical events of the local revolutionary movement.

During the country’s two resistance wars, Van Duong acted as a meeting place and a secret shelter for revolutionary cadres.

The recognition of the communal house as a city-level historical relic is a premise for the locality to strengthen the management, protection and promotion of the relic to tourists near and far, and at the same time, turning this place into a highly-inviting venue for traditional revolutionary education for the people, especially the young generation.
