Special events and programs for Tet celebrations in Da Nang
In their efforts to help local residents and tourists explore and enjoy joyful Tet atmosphere during the upcoming special holiday, tourist attractions across Da Nang are offering a wide range of exciting events to attract visitors.

Especially, Da Nang will set off fireworks in 15 minutes to ring in the Lunar New Year 2023, aiming to create a joyful atmosphere, meet the cultural enjoyment needs of local residents and promote beautiful images of Da Nang to tourists.
Specifically, the 15-minute pyrotechnic shows will take place at on Lunar New Year’s Eve, which will fall on January 22, 2023, at the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, the Phuong Trang vacant land area in front of the Lien Chieu District Administrative Centre, and a vacant land area in front of the Hoa Vang District Administration Centre.
High-altitude, low-altitude and effect firecrackers will be utilised in the displays. Also, FireOne wireless system, which is the world's most advanced digital pyrotechnic firing and choreography system, will be applied in the launching of the fireworks.
Besides, there will be numerous exciting cultural events across the city to welcome in the Lunar New Year 2023 to meet the entertainment demand from locals and tourists during the holiday. Included are a live music concert to welcome in Lunar New Year 2023 which will take place at a park located at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge on January 21, a street carnival featuring the performance of disguise and wind instrument performance which will hit Tran Hung Dao street - a section from Ly Nam De to Trieu Viet Vuong streets on January 28, a street magic at the western end of the Rong Bridge on January 28.
Furthermore, the city is filled with colorful flowers, lights and decorations which bring Tet atmosphere to locals and tourists. Flower arrangements and decorations are seen such locations as along Bach Dang Street, Tran Hung Dao Street, in front of the city's Administrative Center.
Tourist sites across the city also offer many attractive events before and during Tet. Marble Mountains special national-level relic site is ready to welcome visitors during Tet. The Museum of Da Nang will host a program entiled ‘Traveling in early Spring’ on the morning of January 28 and 29. This program will allow local residents and tourists to immerse themselves in the joyful and bustling Tet atmosphere as well as experience traditional Vietnamese Tet Festival.
Da Nang Mikazuki Resorts and Spa, the brainchild of Mikazuki Hotel Group, which is a famous Japanese hospitality brand, focuses on offering activities featuring traditional customs for Japanese Lunar New Year celebrations. Included are making Mochi cakes, and trying Soba noodles.
Mr. Phung Dinh Mai from Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa said that the occupancy rate of the resort is expected to reach over 80% during Tet while the resort offers up to 30% discount on its outdoor fun games during the daytime for Tet.

Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park will host the Than Tai (God of Wealth) Temple Festival on the second, third, fourth and tenth days of the first lunar month which fall on January 23, 24, 25 and 31 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
“We hope to bring exciting experiences to visitors while attending the Than Tai Temple festival as the event promises to be very impressive for Tet. Visitors will enjoy highly-inviting activities such as dragon and lion dances, starting with pen in early spring, hanging wish strings, picking buds to pray for good luck and good fortune for Lunar New Year, clay pot breaking game, praying for love, prayers for peace in the family, prayers for mony and luck in the Lunar New Year", said Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong, the Marketing and Communications Director of Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park.
Mr Nguyen Duc Vu, the Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches remarked that many check-in points and events will open to visitors to help them capture their beautiful photos and moments while visiting Da Nang’s beaches.
Check-in points are available to visitors, including basket boat model to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2023 to be placed at the East Sea Park located on the Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa coastal route, surfboards and flower arrangements at Lang Ong Park located on Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa coastal route.
Night activities at the My An Beach such as food and beverage services are available during the Tet holiday. In addition, a number of check-in points on the Son Tra Peninsula at such locations as Vong Canh hills, and Chessboard Peak - known as Ban Co Peak will open to visitors from January 16 to 30.
“Crews from the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches will be deployed to the Son Tra Peninsula and along two coastal routes namely Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa and Nguyen Tat Thanh in efforts to ensure the safety of visitors, as well as ensure security and environmental sanitation, plus conduct rescue operations during Tet" Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu said.
