Various activities being held in Da Nang to celebrate Viet Nam Book and Reading Culture Day 2023
A wide range of book-related activities are being held across Da Nang in response to the 2nd Viet Nam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2023.

On Saturday, a ceremony to launch the Viet Nam Book and Reading Culture Day 2023 took place at the Da Nang General Science Library.
During the ceremony, there was a talk show with famous writers and a donation of community bookcases.

Also on the same day, a contest to arrange books and tell stories about historical figures was held at the APEC Sculpture Garden.
The contest saw the participation of pupils from 12 junior high schools across the district. It provided a chance for them to improve their skills in arranging books, gain more historical knowledge, confidently express their talents and voices, and develop their love for books and cultural and artistic activities inside and outside the school.
In addition, the Thanh Khe District Cultural and Sports Centre is organising some exciting activities in response to the Viet Nam Book and Reading Culture Day 2023 on April 15 and 16. Included are an art book display and arrangement contest, and a folk dance and flashmob competition.

To mark this occasion, the Da Nang General Science Library introduces a mobile library truck model with many books, newspapers and technology equipment to support e-reading to students and youth union members in the district.
From April 19 - 23, the Son Tra Book Fair 2023 themed ‘Knowledge Connection’ will take place in Son Tra District.
This year’s fair will highlight a total of 28 stalls introducing and selling new books released by publishing houses nationwide at subsidised prices; book introduction and storytelling contests, and a musical programme entitled ‘Singing about Son Tra’.
Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to take part in a seminar on building and developing ‘reading culture’ in the district, and an exhibition featuring paintings and photos of artists, photographers and students.

On April 19, the Hoa Vang District Culture and Sports Centre plans to organise a book introduction competition themed ‘My beloved book’ 2023 for primary and junior high school pupils in the district.
Also on the same day, the Da Nang Publishing House will hold a get-together for collaborators, and release the book entitled ‘Pham Phu Hai - Works and Public Opinion’ to the public.
