The Han River Golf Tournament for Hatoco Cup 2024 officially kicked off at the Legend Danang Golf Resort on Saturday.

Co-organised by the Da Nang Golf Association and the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the event is the largest of its kind in the central region, with the participation of nearly 300 professional and amateur golfers at home and abroad.

Participating golfers competed in many groups including professional group, senior group, group for foreigners, group for executive committees of golf clubs, and group for coaches.

The prize structure includes championship for the player with the best total score; first, second and third prizes for each group; and prizes for professional golfers with a bonus of $1,000.

In addition, the organisers awarded technical prizes to players with high achievements such as prizes for playing closest to the flag at Par 3 holes; Longest tee shot award; and Hole-In-One Award.

The purpose of the tournament is to spread the golf movement in Da Nang and promote local tourism for domestic golfers. This is a prerequisite tournament for the Da Nang Golf Association to organize an annual tournament, thereby contributing to boosting tourism development and attracting investment.
