To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the Museum of Da Nang will coordinate with the Viet Nam National Museum of History, and the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, to organise online learning programme themed "The Pride of Dien Bien" from May 7-10.

Accordingly, the Museum of Da Nang will provide an online learning programme on Zoom software for the 5th graders of the Dien Bien Phu Primary School and the Be Van Dan Primary School, both based in Thanh Khe District. The programme aims to help the participants understand more about the historical significance of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

On the morning of May 9, the Museum of Da Nang will coordinate with the Trung Vuong Junior High School based in Hai Chau District to organize an experiential education programme "Dien Bien Phu - May Rendezvous".

This programme will focus on interactive activities and experiences between pupils with invited guests. The intention is to help children better understand the historical significance and importance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, as well as the dedication and sacrifice of the soldiers during the campaign. This will contribute to arousing the spirit of patriotism, national pride and sense of responsibility of the young generation for the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations for the national independence and freedom.

On May 7, the Museum of Da Nang will release podcast #2 "Share the fire with Dien Bien" on spotify and youtube platforms 'Bao Tang Da Nang - DaNangMuseum'.

The podcast will recreate the victory of the army and people of Quang Nam - Da Nang in the battle to destroy the 10th mobile task force of the French colonialists at the Bo Bo Hill in Quang Nam Province.

The Bo Bo Victory was considered the battle of Dien Bien Phu on Quang Nam - Da Nang land, forcing the French government to sign the Geneva Agreement in 1954.

In addition, the thematic exhibition "The Pride of Dien Bien - A Golden History" is taking place at the Museum of Da Nang. On display at the museum are more than 100 images, documents, and artifacts from the war against French colonialism, recreating the contributions of the army and people of Quang Nam - Da Nang on the battlefield of Inter-Region 5.
