Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Quan The Am (Avalokiteśvara) Festival 2025 on Wednesday, Vice Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee Ta Tu Binh said that 2025 marked the third year the festival has been organised by the Da Nang People's Committee on a municipal-level scale. This year’s festival attracted tens of thousands of Buddhists, and domestic and foreign tourists.

Accordingly, the ceremonial activities were organised solemnly. In particular, the Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva process ceremony drew tens of thousands of Buddhist monks, nuns and followers, and domestic and foreign tourists.

In addition, three art programmes were held on nights of the 17th, 18th and 19th days of the second lunar month to serve local people and tourists. These were unique and highly specialised art programmes.

Prominent among them was the art programme on March 17 evening with amazing performances by Japan’s folk art troupe and the Thai Buddhist Art troupe. These performances left a good impression in the hearts of the audience, contributing to increasing the international value of the festival.

Within the framework of the year’s festival, the Olympic Run Day for Public Health in 2025 was organized. Meanwhile, the Walk for Peace programme had the participation of over 300 representatives of agencies, organizations and foreign consulates in the city. Additionally, there were a number of traditional sports activities such as village flag festival, tug of war, banana tree climbing to capture the flag, and stilt relay race.

Notably, the traditional boat race saw the participation of male and female racing teams from districts in the city and wards of Ngu Hanh Son District.

The attention and effective coordination of the Executive Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of the city and the Ngu Hanh Son District authorities in performing Buddhist rituals at the festival was very thoughtful. All contributed to the overall success of the Quan The Am Festival 2025 according to the motto "Solemn - Safe - Economical - Effective".
