DaNang TechDemo 2017 opens until tomorrow
Within the framework of the national ‘Technological Applications, Transfer and Innovations 2017’ event, the ‘Technological Supply-Demand Links and Its Performance’ programme (DaNang TechDemo 2017) is taking place in the city until tomorrow.

Present at Wednesday’s opening ceremony of the 3-day event were the Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Science, Technology and Environment (NACSTE), Mr Phan Xuan Dung, and Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh, along with some of the Da Nang key leaders.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister Anh remarked that DaNang TechDemo 2017, the first of its kind in the city, aims to facilitate domestic businesses to promote scientific and technological applications into their production activities.
Through such a practical programmes, domestic and foreign research establishments have an opportunity to advertise their latest technological products.
Also, appeals are being made at the event for investment inflows from both home and aboard into technological projects showcasing high economic values in the south-central region and highlands, and Viet Nam as a whole. This, thereby, will help to enhance the competitiveness of domestic businesses, and to accelerate the trading and investment links between domestic and foreign businesses.
Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh highlighted the significance of the programme in facilitating scientists and businesses from both home and aboard to share their valuable experience in this aspect, as well as in promoting scientific and technological research activities and applications into production activities and normal life in the coming time.
During the ongoing DaNang TechDemo 2017, a total of over 500 technological applications, and scientific and technological products which were developed by domestic and foreign research establishments are being introduced to the participating businesses.
Besides, many conferences, seminars and talks are being organised to recommend the participants to technological applications which are now ready to be transferred.
Also on Wednesday, departments of Science and Technology in the 13 localities in south-central region and highlands signed their scientific and technological cooperation agreements.

In a similar vein, domestic and foreign research establishments and businesses participating in the programme also entered into technology transfer contracts totalling nearly 200 billion VND. Most notable amongst them was an agreement worth 1 million US$ between the Japanese GBT research association and a Vietnamese fertilizer and general service company.
