Agreement on internship programme signed with Japanese company
On Wednesday, Da Nang’s Dong A University (DAU) entered into an agreement on internship and working programmes with the Japan Material Engineering Service Company (JMES).
Under the agreement, which comes into effect this year, JMES will offer internships in Japan for final year students from DAU’s faculties of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Industry, and Control and Automation Engineering Industry.
The students who have already reached the N3 level of Japanese will be sent to JMES company members. During their 4-week internships, they will have the opportunity to practise their skills, access advanced working environment, and improve their Japanese language skills. After finishing their internships, the Vietnamese students will return to Da Nang to graduate with degrees from DAU.
Anyone who wants to work in Japan can register for working at JMES between 3 and 5 years. They will receive monthly salaries which are equal to Japanese engineers'.
Initially, a total of 10 students will be selected for this year’s programme in November. The number of apprentices will subsequently become between 30 and 70 each year.
Previously, DAU and the Japan Building Maintenance Association (JBMA) had together signed an agreement on sending Vietnamese students to Japan for working.
Accordingly, between 150 and 250 students from DAU’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering Industry Faculty will be sent to work in Japan each year. They will receive monthly salaries of between 2,500 and 4,000 USD.
