Facebook to support the city in communications and natural disaster warnings
Facebook is willing to provide Da Nang with a new information sharing tool to ensure a better connection between the local authorities and citizens, as well as to assist the city in giving natural disaster warnings to the public in a more effective manner.

The news was released at Tuesday morning’s workshop on enhancing the use of the Facebook applications in communications organised by the municipal Department of Information and Communication within the framework of the ongoing cooperation programme between the city and the world’s largest social network.
According to Ms Nguyen Thi Phuong, the Deputy Director of the Department, the event aimed at enhancing Facebook using skills of local government officials and employees, especially in effectively grasping public opinions and recommendations through social networks.
During the workshop, Facebook experts in the Asia-Pacific region were actively involved in helping the participating public cadres enhance their capacity of applying Facebook applications in their communications missions.
Facebook is always willing to offer its users various applications in digital economy, digital connection and other related aspects. Also, it want to help businesses boost their progress, and assist government agencies in using this social network as a tool to widely publicise information and receive feedback from citizens in a quick yet efficient manner for better interactions.
Also at the event, Facebook experts also instructed representatives from relevant local agencies on how to use social networking site to release natural disaster warnings to the public.
