Mr Vo Thai Vu, the Director of the Thanh Khe District-located Canext Company Limited, used to experience various services at many local automobile repairs workshops in the previous years. At that time, he came to realise the fact that the management and operation of these facilities were mainly based on out-dated methods which were quite time consuming, and made customer care tasks somewhat ineffective.
As a tertiary graduate in IT, Vu came up with a highly-feasible idea of a platform that helps digitise the management and operation of automobile repairs workshops.
In the “talk the talk and walk the walk” sprit, in early 2020, Vu and his two friends, namely Tong Quang Phu and Le Chi Hoang Long, embarked on building up the Carus app, which help car care workshops manage all their undertakings in the most effective and efficient manner.
Carus has positioned itself as one of the best solutions beneficial to automobile repairs workshops as it is jam-packed with simple and smart features designed to make managing workshop and sales operation easier, hereby securing a delightful customer experience.
By the end of 2020, a new version of Carus comes into existence, becoming a mobile and responsive web application.
The modern, easy-to-use and highly customizable Carus boasts many outstanding features such as creating sales coupons and e-invoices, sharing estimates to potential customers they may need to know the services and parts to be used.
Also, this app helps easily identify which vehicles are due or overdue for service, and promote inventory management with ease.
Last, but not least, with its reporting system, Carus enables garage owners manage everything from sales and received payments to stock value and employee efficiency in a more effective and time-saving manner.
During their product perfecting process, the Carus team has collected many valuable opinions from garage owners, and many of them suggested that this app develop new more features such as supporting customers to book online car care appointments and facilitating workshops to build up their own websites.
By late 2020, Carus had built a network of about 10 Da Nang-based automobile repairs workshops. In an attempt to reach out to even more potential customers, the Carus team has spent much time publicising the great benefits of digital transformation in ensuring effective job management and better customer experience.
Carus is now one of the locally-developed startup to join a accelerator programme offered by the Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support (DNES), a progressive business incubator in the city.
The Carus team plans to make an intermediary platform connecting customers and facilities providing door-to-door washing, repair, warranty and maintenance services for motorcycles and cars, hereby helping users save time and efforts.
At present, the tendency for car ownership in Viet Nam is increasingly growing, which will push up an increasing demand for at-home convenient car repair and maintenance services.
The soon-to-be-launched platform, of course, will take advantage of the existing customer network from Carus, hereby creating an ecosystem for automobile owners in Viet Nam in the coming time, Mr Tong Quang Phu, a Carus team member, said.
The Carus team has set a target of attracting about 300 automobile care service providers across Viet Nam by late this year.
