Following a recent decision by Da Nang government, 28 August has been selected as Da Nang Day of Digital Transformation.

Da Nang plans to issue a resolution regarding its digital transformation tasks to 2025, with a vision to 2030. The intention is to realise the city's ambitious target of completing the building of a smart city connected with the networks of smart cities in Viet Nam, and in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as well as becoming an ecological, modern, smart and liveable city in Viet Nam.

The city will focus on promoting the application of digital technology and data in such aspects as administration, public services and business activities.

During that period, a digital ecosystem and a digital economy will be developed in the city, thereby creating a foundation to drive the development of new fields and to develop a safe, humane and wide digital environment in order to form a digital society and population.
