Public service chatbot for support to COVID contacts in Da Nang
Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases fueled by the Delta variant, Da Nang is using the Chatbot 1022 developed by the Da Nang Public Service Information Centre to directly notify close contacts of cases of COVID-19 across the city based on lists issued by the Da Nang Center for Disease Control and Prevention and district-level medical centers.
Contacts of people with confirmed coronavirus will receive alerts via an incoming call from 090 114 1022 and 091 122 1022 or text messages from “TP.DaNang”.
The chatbot will offer support services for COVID contacts and give them advice and requirements, including limiting travel and contact with others, getting tested for coronavirus in order to prevent the possible spread of the virus. In addition, assistance will be given to them by providing contact details of their nearest healthcare facilities in order to help them check with these venues for what to do.

The intention is to enable the health agency to give timely support to COVID contacts and take appropriate measures to keep the Da Nang community safe from the spread of the virus.
