Opening ceremony of coming school year and learning and teaching activities in Da Nang to take place on a virtual platform
The Da Nang of Education and Training has issued a timeframe for the 2021 - 2022 school year for preschool, general and continuing education. As directed by the Ministry of Education and Training, the opening ceremony of the new school year is slated to take place on a virtual platform at 7:00am on September 5 amid the complex developments of COVID-19 in the city.

According to the municipal Department of Education and Training, online teaching and learning will be carried out during 2 weeks after the opening ceremony. The ‘study from home’ method is just a form of support during which focus will be mainly on introducing academic programmes and methods, textbooks, and consolidating the main knowledge pupils learned in the past school year.
Afterwards, if the COVID-19 situation is still not under control, the local educational authorities will release specific instructions on online courses for pupils under the official guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Specifically, for preschool education, children will be introduced to ways to protect themselves from contracting the coronavirus, including how to wear facemasks properly, disinfecting hands with soap in the right way, keep their bodies healthy.
Particularly for the first graders, pupils will get acquainted with different types of textbooks, notebooks, school supplies, the alphabet and other necessary academic and interpersonal communication skills.
As per directions of the Ministry of Education and Training the school year will end before May 31, 2022.
Certificates for the recognition of completing the primary programme and junior high school graduation must be done before June 30, 2022.
Meanwhile, the enrollment for the first grades of schools will be complete before July 31, 2022.
The National Senior High School Graduation Exam, the National Exam for Gifted Pupils and national science and technology exams will be organised under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Days off, the time returning to school and the extension of the school year must not exceed 15 days as compared with the timeframe of the 2021 - 2022 academic year for preschool, general and continuing education institutions throughout the country in a bid to ensure the implementation and completion of the curriculum in special cases.
