With her sweet, clear voice along with high professional competence, Ms Doan Thi Ngoc Uyen, teacher of Vo Thi Sau Primary School, Hai Chau District, often integrates her singing in some lectures that make pupils extremely interested in her lectures, especially during days learning via virtual platforms.

Over many years of teaching, Ms Uyen has always been entrusted by her school due to her solid professional competence and scientific teaching methods. At the same time, she is also one of the teachers fostering the school's excellent Vietnamese subject team.

The achievements she has gained over the years have made everyone admire her so much. Every time the city-level Primary Gifted Pupils Contest is held, many pupils in her Vietnamese subject team always reach high ranks. She was recognized as a teacher having good teaching skills at the municipal and district levels for 4 consecutive years. In addition, she was also awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Da Nang People's Committee for successfully completing her teaching duties.

As a homeroom teacher, she has always actively participated in the school's movements and activities with her pupils besides teaching activities. Therefore, her class has annually won the title of excellent class at the school level. Besides, she also sincerely shares a lot of teaching experience with younger teachers in her school.

Till date, although over 40 years old, Ms Uyen is always looking for creative teaching methods and applying information technology to have good lecture products that attract pupils’ attention. For many consecutive years, her E-learning lectures have been won the first prize at the city-based level. Moreover, she also designed many learning games for pupils to participate in, creating an exciting and fun atmosphere in classes.

In addition, as Vice President of the school's Youth Radio Club, she has constantly planned organization and contributed ideas so that each edition of the radio programme would stand out and attract a large number of audiences.

Even though she has gained a host of achievements, Ms Uyen always believes that it is necessary to study, learn more and perfect the personality of a teacher having a high sense of responsibility and love for the profession. "A teacher is like a candle that burns itself to illuminate others" and Ms Uyen is definitely like a candle quietly lighting the way for the young generation with her own love, passion, and dedication.
