Da Nang ranks first in digital transformation 2020
Da Nang has topped the Digital Transformation Index (DTI) rankings in 2020 at provincial and city levels in all three key pillars of digital government, digital economy and digital society.

The information was released by the Ministry of Information and Communications at a conference in Ha Noi on October 19.
According to a report by the Ministry of Information and Communications, Da Nang was ranked first in the country in all three pillars, namely digital government, digital economy and digital society with a value of 0.4874.
Most proudly, Da Nang has gained a number of positive results in digital transformation. In particular, the city has taken the lead in the Viet Nam ICT Index for 12 consecutive years. It was honoured with the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO) Smart City Award 2019.
Additionally, Da Nang has developed its Open Data Portal product. It is a highly practical platform for publicising specialised and open data so as to serve the demands of organisations and individuals citywide via web forms, Application Programming Interface (API), SMS, and Zalo. Through this portal, users can utilise open data to create their new products/apps benefiting the community.
A total of 200 smart traffic cameras; 1,800 specialised security cameras; and 34,500 surveillance cameras have been installed throughout the city.
All medical facilities have approached electronic health applications, and 98% of local residents and businesses have expressed their satisfaction about the use of applications and utilities in the digital environment.
According to the report, the top 5 cities and province in DTI 2020 rankings are Da Nang, Thua Thien-Hue, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh and HCM City.
