How to improve efficiency of teaching foreign languages in integration period highlighted in educational conference in Da Nang

On October 1 and 2, a total of 150 lecturers, postgraduates and educational managers from 25 universities and training institutions nationwide attended an online scientific conference entitled “Research and Teaching Foreign Languages, Linguistics and International Studies in the Context of Global Integration".

Hosted by the Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies, the 2-day event featured 130 reports involving most-concerned issues in the term of foreign language teaching, such as how to improve efficiency of teaching foreign languages in Viet Nam and enhance the professional skills for foreign language teachers, and boosting digital transformation in foreign language teaching.

Specifically-mentioned were a report about extensive reading method presented by Prof. Dr. John Maclister from the Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand), another one about some problems in teaching students majoring international studies by Prof. Dr. Hoang Khac Nam from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Ha Noi, and one report about how COVID-19 is reshaping teaching and learning at the Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Chinh from the university.
