VNUK hosts Food- Tech Innovation Contest Final on Sunday
Food- Tech Innovation Contest Final took place on Sunday, February 27, in Da Nang, and it saw six top contestants competing for the title.
Hosted by the Da Nang-based Viet Nam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), the contest which started on November 28, 2021 attracted the participation of 121 students from 13 senior high schools across the city. Contestants who took place in the 3 month-long contest had a chance to access train courses and consultations from food experts to perfect their entries.
Six best contestants with their entries using food innovation solutions in a creative and practical way were chosen as finalists. Included are food containers made from straws and sugarcane bagasse instead of Styrofoam, electronic cabinets using QR codes to help people manage the shelf life and quality of their stored food, and Balancee which is the menu recommendation app.
