First-ever 'Economic and Efficient Use of Energy' Awards to be launched in Da Nang in June
The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade will work with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to launch the first-ever ‘Economic and Efficient Use of Energy" (EEA) awards program which is set to take place in June 2022.
As part of the Vietnam Urban Energy Security project funded by USAID, the awards program aims to honour Da Nang’s outstanding businesses in economic and efficient use of energy. The focus will be on honouring key energy users, encouraging businesses to invest in renewable energy and adopt energy efficiency solutions in order to contribute to improving the city's competitiveness for economic development, as well as help the city attract green investment to facilitate local residents to live and work in a cleaner and greener city.
Businesses who join the awards program will have the opportunity to promote their brands at forums on Energy Efficiency and Energy Security for Sustainable Development, through TV and radio channels, local press agencies and social networking sites such as Facebook. The participants will receive a certificate of recognition of economic and efficient use of energy, and they will be chosen as Da Nang’s top businesses to drive the development of green or sustainable city.
