Formerly known as the Da Nang Sanitation Company under the municipal Real Estate Company established in April 1975, the Da Nang Urban Environment JSC has been actively involved in renovating technology and expanding its scale and capacity of production and business in order to meet the high requirements on quality of environmental sanitation and urban landscape, thereby contributing to building Da Nang into an environmentally friendly and ecological city.

The Da Nang Urban Environment JSC is now has 13 affiliated units, 75 specialised motor vehicles, and 1,290 employees.

The company is the largest enterprise providing various types of public services in the field of environmental sanitation, waste collection and transportation, etc.

During its construction and development process, in 2015, the company converted into operating under the model of a joint stock company, fundamentally changing the management method andopening a new development phase with many prospects.

In 2017, Da Nang Urban Environment JSC officially traded on the UPCoM stock exchange trading floor.

Despite facing COVID-19-trigeered difficulties, the company's after-tax profit in 2020 was 3.43 times higher than 2015.

On April 12, 2022, the company was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in recognition of its outstanding achievements and great contributions in support for the city’s fight against the pandemic.

Over the past years, the company has always maintained a stable income for its officers and employees with per capita monthly income of VND7million during the 2018-2021 period.

In order to further improve the rate of mechanisation in waste collection and street cleanups, over the years, the company has paid special attention to purchasing more motorised vehicles, especially small-sized waste collection vehicles which will be easy to travel on narrow and crowded streets.

The purchasing of one modern road sweeper and three 7 and 5-tonne garbage compactors is underway so as to promote the mechanisation of garbage collection and street cleanup.

The company plans to buy ten 1.5-tonne garbage compactors and four 3.5-tonne garbage compactors in the next 2 years in order to serve the mechanisation of garbage collection in the inner city.

Moreover, the company is on track of preparing for the implementation of the Khanh Son Landfill upgrade project which is expected to put into operation in late 2022; and for the operation of modern garbage transfer stations on Le Thanh Nghi Street and prepare a plan to participate in the operation of a modern garbage transfer station on Le Thanh Nghi Street and the new Son Tra waste transfer station.

General Director of the Da Nang Urban Environment JSC Vo Minh Duc revealed that, during the 2021-2025 period, the company will continue to improve the management processes and forms, promote the IT application in management and control of all production and business activities by technology, and boost the mechanisation of garbage collection and transportation, and street cleanup.

The focus will be on enhancing the rate of mechanisation as well as the efficiency of production activities, maintaining and ensuring environmental security in the areas where the company is in charge of management and operation, and preventing possible environmental incidents.

Importance will also be attached to maintaining the company’s revenue and striving to achieve annual profits, and pay dividends at least 8%/year, with a target of VND300 billion in revenue by 2025.
