Shared workspaces created for students to start up

The Viet Nam Ministry of Education and Training has just planned to implement the ‘Supporting students to start their businesses by 2025’ project in the educational sector this year.

Accordingly, as for the key tasks the education sector shall fulfil this year, focus will be on forming a network of consultants to support students in starting their own businesses in training institutions and a network of career counselors and start-up mentors in senior high schools, and promote the effectiveness of the consulting staff and developing start-up support programmes in localities nationwide.

In addition, importance will be attached to offering training to a team of consultants to support students in starting their businesses in training institutions, focusing on teaching methods and skills of working with students in order to promote the spirit of self-employment, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship among students.

The Ministry of Education and Training will continue to develop lectures to provide information, knowledge, update documents and training courses for students on the online career guidance and start-up system, connect the startup portal http://dean1665.vn with all training institutions and build a database to manage student start-up projects.

The Ministry will continuously coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and training institutions to complete the model of supporting students to start-up, creating a shared space for students at training institutions.

In addition, the education sector will partner with businesses to create workspaces for groups of students who have entrepreneurial ideas and start-up projects to operate business models, test sample products, coordinate with organisations, individuals and businesses to support a number of localities in piloting the construction of entrepreneurship and innovation centres, forming an ecosystem to support entrepreneurship education.
