The above-mentioned information was affirmed by the Da Nang Department of Education and Training in freshly- released instructions relating to handling candidates infected with SARS-CoV-2.

As for eligible conditions, COVID-19-contracting candidates who are being monitored at medical facilities or isolated for treatment at home/accommodations cannot sit for the exam.

Candidates must hold the Certificate of F0 issued by either the medical facility where they receive treatment or by the steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control in wards/ communes level where their place of residence are located.

Of special note, the COVID-19-contracting candidates have the time of infection within the exam days: July 6,7 and 8.

To be eligible for special status, candidates must complete dossiers, including an application for special consideration and confirmation papers on their infection with COVID-19 and then send the dossiers to the school where they initially registered for the exam.

Accordingly, no later than 7 days after the final test of the national high school graduation exam, candidates must submit a special application to the Head of the exam venue.

If the students infected with COVID-19 want to take the exam, they must submit an application in which they commit to complying with regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control. The application must be signed by their parents or guardians.

They will be arranged to take the exam in separate rooms, which meet the requirements for COVID-19 prevention and control.

These students shall submit an application for taking the exam on July 6 to the head of the exam venue.

Meanwhile, if the candidates are suspected of having COVID-19, they will also sit in separate rooms for the exam.

If the exam councils have difficulty arranging separate rooms, they can conduct quick medical tests for the candidates on July 6.

If the quick test is negative, the candidates can sit together with other candidates. If the quick test is positive, the candidates can sit with candidates who are COVID-19 patients.

Exam rooms for candidates who are COVID-19, or suspected to have COVID-19 must be separate from the rooms of other candidates.

Exam papers collection must also ensure pandemic prevention regulations.
