Da Nang team named among top 10 global winners of Imagine Cup Junior 2022
The SkyLine Humanitarian Team, which consists of some 12th graders from Da Nang-based Sky-Line Primary, Secondary and High School, has been named among top 10 global submission winners of the Imagine Cup Junior 2022
This is the first Vietnamese team to achieve this outstanding achievement at the Microsoft-orrganised global technology innovation playground.
In March, the SkyLine Humanitarian Team was among top 20 best teams in the contest’s national round of Viet Nam.
The team-developed AI integrated mobile application connects hospitals and blood donors by blood type while encouraging potential new blood donors by spreading awareness.
Other teams among top 10 were ARISE (Nepal), AutoCrab (Hong Kong), Clean Up Crew (Australia), Earthatarian (the UK), HACKRR (the Philippines), NeuSparks (China), Sea Waste Scavengers (Indonesia), Team Sensory Metaverse (India) and VORA (the USA).
Microsoft-hosted annual Imagine Cup Junior (ICJ) provides an exciting opportunity for students aged 13-18 years old to learn about technology and how it can be used to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges, while participating in a global student challenge.
It’s a great introduction to technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and new for 2022, cybersecurity, and is suitable for all levels, especially beginners.
